This job opening is for a high school tutor to assist two special needs students in Upper Darby (10th grade) and Darby (9th grade), with the flexibility to cover either one or both locations; the ideal candidate can work up to 32 hours per week across both sites, earning up to $1,280 weekly. More detailed information on this arrangement can be found below:
Upper Darby (10th grade)- (26 hours/week)- Schedule: M & F 8:30-12:30
T/W/TH 8:30-2:30
- Must provide academic support with school work for all subjects; candidate should be able to help with pre-algebra.
- Student is enrolled in virtual school; work will be completed 1:1 in student’s home.
Darby (9th grade)- 6 hours/week - Schedule should be worked out with student’s parents; 3x’s week for 2 hour sessions; specific hours are flexible.
Pay Rate: - Up to $40/hour
- Contract Length: (12/16-3/14)

Job Duties - Provide academic support in all subjects, with focused assistance on specific areas where students need extra help.
- Work one-on-one with students to complete assignments and stay on track, meeting with them in their homes for personalized support.
Requirements: - 2-3 References
- Any valid PA teaching certificate
- Prefer one year of teaching/tutoring experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A commitment to providing student-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an educational team.
