Are you a skilled underwriter with strong connections in the Texas insurance market? We're looking for a Commercial Insurance Underwriter / Producer to join our team remotely, working with independent retail insurance agents who specialize in commercial auto and garage business.

About the Role:

As a Transportation Underwriter / Producer, you will play a key role in driving growth by partnering with retail agents, offering fast and knowledgeable underwriting services, and accessing top-rated national carriers. Our product lines include Commercial Auto, Physical Damage, Motor Truck Cargo, Excess Auto Liability, Truckers General Liability, and Garage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build Relationships: Actively prospect and establish strong connections with Independent Retail Agents to drive new transportation business.
- Underwrite Risks: Evaluate, analyze, and make informed decisions on commercial transportation risks, following underwriting criteria.
- Classify and Price Policies: Review submissions to identify exposures, determine accurate classifications, and set appropriate rates and premiums.
- Market Products: Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote products to retail insurance agents and brokers.
- Collaborate with Management: Communicate on individual accounts and provide recommendations on operations, systems, and procedures.
- Manage Renewals: Handle renewal business in line with established guidelines.
- Policy Accuracy: Review policies and endorsements for completeness and accuracy, following up on necessary corrections.

- Responsive and Customer-Centric: Eager to meet the needs of agents and insureds with a prompt, service-oriented approach.
- Insurance Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge in insurance and risk management, with the ability to convey trust and credibility.
- Technically Skilled: Familiar with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Licensed Professional: Holds or is willing to obtain a home-state Property & Casualty license within the first 90 days.
