Chipton-Ross is seeking a PC Network Support Technical 2 for a contract opportunity in Clearfield, UT.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking a PC Network Tech 2 at the Clearfield, UT location. The selected candidate's primary focus will be desktop Windows administration support and offnet environment compliance activities.
Job duties will include:
o Provide technical support for computers; install, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers, related PC software, and peripherals.
o Instruct users in the use of personal computers as the primary controller for manufacturing tools and machinery.
o Perform root cause analysis for complex issues and document technical solutions
o Provide any technical support above and beyond the Tier1/2 support vendor.
o Provide Windows systems management.
o Monitors ticket queues to ensure SLAs are met
o Work with software vendors to support third party applications.
o Provides offnet environment support
o Investigate information, network, and communications needs of users.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Minimum 5 years of Windows desktop support experience
o Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Windows Desktop OS and Office Product Suite.
o Strong troubleshooting abilities
o Familiarity with manufacturing operations, hardware, software, etc.
o Experience in Active Directory configuring user and computer accounts
o Good understanding of networking principles (such as the OSI model).
o Proficiency in remote administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs.
o Understanding of Enterprise-level storage concepts.
o Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
o Ability to work independently; appropriately escalate issues and roadblocks to leadership.
o Superior customer service and service delivery. Maintains composure in difficult situations, with challenging customers.
o Demonstrates personal integrity and high ethical standards in customer contacts as well as all internal relationships.
o Masters' unfamiliar information, tasks, and situations quickly and effectively.
o Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
o Ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive mission critical needs.
o Customer and detail oriented and possess good decision-making ability.
PREFFERED:
o Experience using ServiceNow in an enterprise environment.
o 2 years of Windows desktop support experience in an enterprise environment (>1000 end points).
o Cross-platform experience (ie. Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.).
o CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ certification.
o Associate or bachelor's degree in relevant discipline.
o Experience supporting manufacturing operations, hardware, software, etc.
o Familiar with OT/ICS segregation principles.
o Experience with support for OT/ICS environments.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
School must be accredited.
HOURS:
9/80 workweek. On-Site.
